Each year, Tourism Burlington has two awards that local partners, attraction staff and local residents can submit a nomination to, for Volunteers or groups of volunteers who have made a difference in Tourism in Burlington. Do you know anyone who could be considered a Tourism Ambassador for Burlington? Or who is a Tourism Builder? If you do…then I need you to submit your nomination – by fax, email or you can drop it off at the Tourism Burlington Visitor Centre at 414 Locust (open 7 days per week). It won’t take long and it is free to make the nomination. Nominations close on Friday, but I will be away from my desk until Monday So…as long as it is on my desk by my return on Monday at 9am, it will be accepted.
The Tourism Awards honour outstanding achievement and contribution to the Tourism industry in Burlington. The awards will be presented on April 7 at the Chamber of Commerce Gala.

Let’s celebrate those people in our community who make Burlington the “3rd Best City in Canada to Live” (as MoneySense Magazine - April, 2010 says). But I say, it is the people that live here and that support this community – tourism and otherwise, that make it the hands-down: the Best Place to Live!
