What to do in Burlington for Fun!

Winter is all about winter fun!  This past weekend brought snow and fun for families all around Burlington.  Some chose to hit the hills at Lowville for a little fun in the snow.  Many chose to ski or tube at Glen Eden.  There is lots to do, so get out there.  
Be sure to visit the beautiful and blooming Mediterranean Garden at Royal Botanical Gardens.  The Glass Under Glass Exhibit is on until February 27th. This fifth-annual exhibit includes an expanded display of shining examples of glass art created by gifted Ontario artists and students from Sheridan College. All of the glass-work on display is for sale; it’s a great way to add to your unique collection, or start one from scratch, or just a great place to spend some time – in the warmth of the Mediterranean Garden…Ahhh.
Burlington Mall is having their Winter Sidewalk Sale!  This great deals event runs through the 23rd of January.
Burlington’s Winter Carnival Returns from Jan. 2nd – Feb. 8th.  Burlington’s Winter Carnival will take place at sites throughout Burlington; there is something for everyone, from outdoor sports to indoor fun. The festival celebrates its 45th Anniversary and this year’s events should not be missed. For a complete list of activities throughout the carnival click here. Events include; Bur Bear colouring contest, stargazing, winter golf tournament, swimming, skating and much more!
Cooking Studio at Paradiso The Winter and Spring 2011 Cooking Studio Schedule has been posted for Paradiso Restaurant. Take a look and book a seat in one of the upcoming classes. There is one for every taste bud; Tour of Tuscany, Gluten Free cooking, Fish and Shellfish and many more. Classes run weeknights, starting at 6:30pm and vary on price.
