This week Tourism Burlington was able to participate in the taping of new radio spots for our Region #3 fall and holiday marketing campaign called “The Heart of Ontario”. This campaign is promoting all the great events, activities and packages available in Region #3 (Hamilton, Halton and Brant). Although I have worked with radio stations in the past to produce spots for various programs, I have not had a chance to sit in on the actual production. Region #3 ad agency, OK&D have partnered with MJM Productions in Hamilton. With great direction and editing by the two Mike’s (Mike McCurlie and Mike Alonzo) and the silky smooth voices of James and Laurie, we watched in awe as the pros quickly taped and fine tuned the 4 spots. I was amazed at how the voice talent could tweak the emphasis and emotions in their voices to reflect the messages and get the timing down so perfectly with the background music. These spots highlight the wonderful festivals, dining, shopping and outdoor experiences visitors can have with family and friends over the holiday season in our region. They also feature some great offers and packages at local hotels, attractions and retail locations.
